History

The Casper Family YMCA was born in the mid 1950’s out of a need for more activities and programs in Natrona County. Begun by a group of dedicated people from the local area, our YMCA was chartered as a member of the national council of YMCA’s in 1957. Some of the people that have helped found the Casper Family YMCA are still active members and donors. The stories that they tell from the beginning and the early years are priceless. The YMCA has been an integral part of the Casper community for fifty years. Since its inception, the Casper Family YMCA has served many thousands of community members and groups of all ages with opportunities that have enriched their lives. Many people have been positively influenced by YMCA programs; programs based on the YMCA’s core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
